International Day at Skarbek University
Skarbek University invites you to celebrate
International Day
17 June 2010 from 10 am to 3.30 pm
During the International Day will be present cultures and economies in Asian and African countries.
- You will see people in traditional clothes and interesting photos
- You will watch movies and listen to traditional music
There will be also opportunity to taste Asian food!
The International Festival of Diversity is a worldwide celebration of the 21st May as "World Day for Cultural Diversity, Dialogue and Development."
The Day provides us with an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the values of cultural diversity and to learn to "live together" better. We would like to promote greater awareness of the crucial relationship between culture and development.
A major challenge of the Twenty-First Century is to make diversity out of difference, that is to say, to promote unity by cultivating - and not by reducing - human complexity.
